Witnesses watched in horror as a group of as many as ten people aged approximately 16-24 chased 52 year old Donald Robinson, a registered sex offender, down the 800 block of Lennox Street in the Reservoir Hill area of West Baltimore and beat him to death.
His attackers accused him of assaulting a woman in the same neighborhood.
Despite Donald's repeated denials that he didn't do anything wrong and that the group had the wrong man, he was brutally beaten with an orange traffic cone around 7:30 pm.
The crime was captured on one of Baltimore City's crime cameras and when police arrived on the scene, they tried to resuscitate him but Donald later died at a local hospital.
Donald had just gotten out of jail a few days prior to being attacked after pleading guilty to a second degree assault charge.
