I wanted to pass along this information from ArtWorks Cincinnati, about their SpringBoard business training:
Registration for ArtWorks’ March 2013 SpringBoard session opens January 21. The nine-week course begins March 13 and will run through May 8, convening each Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm at ArtWorks. Interested candidates must sign up at SpringBoardCincinnati.org by February 8.
SpringBoard is ArtWorks’ business planning and development program for artists, artisans and creative entrepreneurs, targeting sustainability in small business. SpringBoard offers entrepreneurs a variety of resources to achieve their artistic and economic goals by creating a unique and collaborative learning environment. These entrepreneurs will build a comprehensive business plan while learning valuable marketing and financing management skills. Access to resources and an opportunity to develop relationships with other entrepreneurs and community partners will set these small businesses up for success.
Entrepreneurs will be given the tools they need to successfully launch and grow their businesses through a small classroom size and ample engagement with professionals such as attorneys, accountants, branding experts, and mentor businesses. The $250 course fee includes tuition to the nine-week course, as well as personalized consulting sessions with the SpringBoard facilitator and ongoing support through our mentorship and round tables.
To date, 103 creative entrepreneurs have participated in the course and 21 new businesses have launched from the program. Due to SpringBoard’s commitment to maintain a small class size to foster an optimal experience for participants, class registration is made available at a first come basis. ArtWorks will host three additional SpringBoard class sessions in 2013 to accommodate demand.
