Early registration ends Sept. 1 for this year’s Music City Mutt Strut benefiting Nashville Humane Association.
What is the Mutt Strutt?
This annual fundraiser is part of a full day of pooch-friendly events called the Dog Day Festival and is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, Sept. 17 at Nashville’s Centennial Park.
The Nashville Humane Association’s goal this year is to raise $40,000 to support their rescue mission and save abandoned animals in Middle Tennessee.
How to register
Registration is available on the official 2011 Music City Mutt Strutt website and costs $25 for adults and $20 for children ages 11 – 17.
Early registration takes $5 off the cost of registration. That’s more money for you to put in the fundraising pot! It also means you have even more time to gather sponsors for this worthy cause.
Show your pooch pride
If you are more of a dog watcher than a dog walker, you can still come out to support Nashville Humane Association. Entry to the Dog Day Festival costs $5.
You can also sponsor Mutt Strutters and Mut Strutt teams right on the Mutt Strutt website.
The top three fundraisers will win pet-friendly prizes, and the top fundraiser’s dog or dogs will be dubbed Nashville’s Top Dog, appearing on next year’s Dog Day Festival promotional materials.
So shake a leg and register early for the annual Music City Mutt Strutt. Your four-legged friend will thank you.
