An accidental meeting between Regina and Tinkerbell in the Fairy Tale Land that was brings ruin for one and bitter feelings for both when episode 3, “Quite A Common Fairy” aired on “Once Upon A Time,” Sunday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m.
When Tinkerbell saves Regina from a near fatal fall, the two become friends. Regina confides in Tink all the misery she feels being married to the king and locked in a loveless marriage. The green fairy offers to help by using pixie dust to help locate Regina’s new true love. Yes, she can love again if she will only believe.
Against the Blue Fairy’s wishes, Tink steals the pixie dust and returns to Regina. Together they set out to follow the pixie dust to Regina’s new love interest. From outside a tavern, Tinkerbell points out the man seen only from behind, a man with a lion tattoo. All Regina has to do is enter the pub and introduce herself. Tinkerbell flies off and Regina opens the door. At the last moment, she slams it shut without meeting the new man of her dreams.
The Blue Fairy confronts Tinkerbell and strips her of her wings. NO longer believing in her, Tinkerbell is relegated to human form and spends the rest of her life in bitter misery, blaming Regina.
In their effort to rescue Henry, Hook tells the others they need Tinkerbell’s help. Knowing the fairy hates her, Regina hangs back to avoid imperiling the plan. Tink finds her anyway and confronts her. Eager to exact her own revenge now, Regina offers to help her by ripping out her own blackened heart and giving it to her foe. Go ahead and kill me she offers but then proceeds to warn her that if she does, she will start down a path that will make her very much like Regina is – evil. Tink thinks twice and refuses to kill her but also vows not to help her either.
The rest of the gang find the two former friends and are able to convince the green former fairy to at least help them find Pan’s camp and the rescue mission is off and running once again.
Will Tinkerbell actually help them find Pan’s camp or will she betray them to Pan? Tune in next week when “Once Upon A Time” returns on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.
