Reggie Bush unlikely to return to Miami Dolphins next season

Reggie Bush is very unlikely to return to the Miami Dolphins for the 2013 NFL season. According to a report from CBS Tuesday (Jan. 29) , the amount of his contract is going to determine whether the Dolphins offer him a new deal. If Bush decides to take a discounted salary, he is much more likely to remain with the Dolphins for at least another season. Barring that, it looks like he will be available in free agency during the NFL offseason.

Bush can be a very frustrating player in fantasy football because he has the propensity to follow up big games with a sub-par performance the following week. During the 2012 NFL season, Bush finished with 986 rushing yards on 227 carries, 292 receiving yards on 35 catches, and 8 combined touchdowns. He ended the season with a fizzle, rushing for just 26 yards as the Dolphins got shut out by the New England Patriots 28-0.

There are clearly going to be some changes for this season heading into the offseason, which probably guarantees that Reggie Bush is unlikely to return to the Miami Dolphins. The team just has too many holes to fill through free agency and the draft that they will be looking to cut corners to save money. Look for Bush to offer up his services to the highest bidder once the free agency period opens. Fantasy football owners will want to pay very close attention to where he does sign.
