Reggie Bush is a Detroit Lion. This is a home-run signing for Detroit, who desperately needs help in the running game.
According to NFL.com on March 13, Bush has agreed to terms on a four-year contract with Detroit.
Bush had 443 rush attempts for 2,072 yards over two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, but was unhappy with his lack of playing time. Bush was clear on his disappointment with his lack of being an every down player and stated his desire to be more than a third-down running back.
Well, welcome to Detroit Reggie, who will undoubtedly be the Lions starting RB in 2013.
Lions fans should be thrilled with the signing, and if they get the Reggie Bush who put up great numbers in New Orleans, they should be playoff bound next season.
The Detroit Lions also have agreed to terms with defensive tackle Jason Jones, his agent Mike McCartney announced. The Detroit native should help the Lions defensive line in 2013. Jones posted three sacks with the Seattle Seahawks last season and a combined 15.5 in four seasons with the Titans. Jones' deal is reportedly for three seasons.
Last but far from least in the NFL free-agent frenzy, Rashard Mendenhall has left the Steelers to head out West and play for the Arizona Cardinals.
ESPN reports The Arizona Cardinals reached an agreement in principle on a one-year deal with Mendenhall, who will be reunited with his former offensive coordinator Bruce Arians.
