With the cool temperatures right now it is hard to think of the summer when it is actually too hot to let the kids play outside, but those times are coming soon! In past years Regal Cinemas has offered a free solution to beat the heat, but this year it seems the recession has hit even this movie giant. This summer the "Summer Movie Express" will cost movie-goers $1 each which still isn't bad for a couple hours of air conditioning and entertainment for the little ones. The movies are offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10am starting the first full week of June. Even better, Regal Crown Club members may be able to snag $2 popcorn on Tuesdays (the offer just says with paid admission so it waits to be seen if they honor the $1 paid admission or not).
All the movies offered are G or PG. In years past, the G movies played in one theater while the PG played in a different theater. Some of the movies offered this year include "Alpha and Omega", "Megamind", "Kit Kittredge", "Percy Jackson & The Olympians", "Yogi Bear" and "How to Train Your Dragon". The locations around Nashville include Green Hills, Providence-Mount Juliet, and Streets of Indian Lake-Hendersonville. The movies seem to rotate between the locations so check the respective cinema listing for the dates and movies.
