Fashion obsessed, style devotee, or fashion aficionado… call it what you will, but all women are slaves to the world of designer fashion and clothing. From sophisticated LA Socialites to uniform clad Marymount High School girls, no female can resist the lure of haute couture fashion. And like most women, the mere tweet of the words “designer sale” is enough to send most of us into a shopping frenzy.
However shopping in LA has proven to be challenging at times, even for this LA Socialite; but a hard and fast rule that my fashionable clique and I do live by is this: when one of us gets wind of an amazing sale, we immediately share the news with the group. Simple and effective, plus the real joy in shopping is having your close friends along who will be able to share in your enthusiasm over a rare designer find.
Now keeping that in mind, I’m thrilled to announce that Refinery29, one of my absolute favorite fashion online sites will be debuting a Los Angeles edition this month! Refinery29 is the ultimate online style guide and lucky LA insiders will get the latest scoop on the best styles, shopping, and emerging trends from the runways to the streets.
To celebrate their LA launch, the Refinery29 team will host an ultra exclusive VIP event at Space 15 Twenty, which will also kick off their first ever Refinery29 East West Tag Sale. This not-to-be missed shopping event will display a hand-picked selection of discounted merchandise from emerging and established fashion designers, such as Helmut Lang, Katy Rodriguez, Geren Ford, Band of Outsiders, as well as vintage purveyors, What Goes Around Comes Around, and a few select local and New York City boutiques. Also N.Y. based charity and vintage clothing chain, Housing Works, will be on hand to showcase their highly coveted vintage treasures at their mini pop-up boutique.
Anyone drooling yet, because this LA Socialite definitely is!
Even fashion's most revered shopping and style bible, Lucky is a fan of Refinery29 and claims, "It's our favorite source for indie fashion."
In addition, a portion of the proceeds from this three-day event will benefit Housing Works, an amazing organization that provides services for New York’s homeless and low-income residents living with HIV or AIDS.
