Reeves Nelson to Europe, to enter 2012 NBA Draft
Dismissed UCLA Bruins forward Reeves Nelson will not be suiting up for another collegiate club and will instead head overseas to play professionally before entering the 2012 NBA Draft.
The twice-suspended and later booted forward will allegedly sign with a professional club in Lithuania. More on that here.
Nelson's father confirmed that his son expects to sign overseas in the coming days and plans to enter the 2012 NBA Draft, telling the Los Angeles Times that for Reeves, "this is for the money now," that "he is done playing college basketball" and he "100% plans to make himself eligible for the next NBA draft."
2011 second-rounder Jon Leuer signs with Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks announced the signing of former Wisconsin standout and 2011 second-round pick Jon Leuer on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, per team policy.
The 40th overall selection, Leuer was one of the many second-rounders who sought work overseas in the wake of the NBA lockout. Playing for the German-based Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt, the power forward averaged 14.8 ppg and 7.8 rpg in ten games.
New York Knicks ink 2010 second-round pick Jerome Jordan
The New York Knicks have added another center to the roster. Fresh off of completing a sign-and-trade for Tyson Chandler and signing its two 2011 draft picks, the team has come to terms on a deal with center Jerome Jordan, a 2010 second-round pick.
Drafted 44th overall in 2010 by Milwaukee, New York would later obtain the rights to Jordan in exchange for cash considerations. Instead of joining the club last season, the 7-foot-1 Jordan signed with KK Hemofarm of the Serbian League.
In four Euroleague games with KK Hemofarm last season, Jordan averaged 8.5 ppg and 2.5 rpg in just over 12 minutes per contest.
