Reeva Steenkamp dies: South African model shot and killed in Pistorius home (Video)

Reeva Steenkamp met an untimely death, possibly at the hands of her boyfriend Oscar Pistorius. News of this tragedy came on Feb. 14, also known as Valentine's Day, a day in which Steenkamp was very excited to experience, according to Fox News.

The striking blonde beauty tweeted about the holiday, saying she was glad she would be giving cupcakes to her friends as her way of showing love on Valentine's Day.

She also said via Twitter on Feb.13, "What do you have up your sleeve for your love tomorrow? #getexcited #ValentinesDay (sic)."

Now, this lovely model has been killed. The 30-year-old was reportedly shot four times just before the sun rose in South Africa. She had been at her boyfriend's house when this happened. Her boyfriend, Olympian Oscar Pistorius, also known as "Blade Runner," is allegedly the only suspect at this time.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Denise Beukes stated that Oscar Pistorius had been at home at when Steenkamp died, but that the situation could have been an accident with Pistorius believing that Steenkamp was "an intruder."

Details are sketchy about what occurred when Reeva Steenkamp died, but the South African model was shot and killed while at the home of Oscar Pistorius. This aspect of the sad situation has been confirmed.

Meanwhile, Reeva Steenkamp was a person who was against violence for women. She wrote on Twitter last week that she had woken up in her "happy safe home" but that "not everyone did." She then instructed her followers to "speak out against...rape..."

Reeva Steenkamp was well known in her native South Africa. According to E! Online, she "modeled swimsuits and was featured in as one of FHM's '100 Sexiest Women in the World.'" The entertainment source also said Reeva, who was the girlfriend of Oscar Pistorius, was South Africa's face of Avon cosmetics.
