Reese Witherspoon understands the benefits of running with friends, and she spills the beans on her running workouts in the November issue of InStyle Magazine. Witherspoon tells InStyle that she tries to workout each and every day. Running is her main form of exercise, and she sets a goal to run for at least 60 minutes with a group of friends. "I like to run for about an hour, and I'm big into working out with girlfriends," Witherspoon tells the magazine.

Running with friends is a great way to maintain your motivation on those days when you rather just go back to bed. You're much less likely to flake out on your morning run if you know a friend is waiting for you. If your friends aren't runners, a local running club can offer the same benefits. Many running groups, including the Dallas Running Club, offer regular group runs that can help maintain your motivation.
The Dallas Running Club offers group runs for members nearly every day of the week. Just as Reese Witherspoon has discovered, running with friends or a group is a great way to add some excitement to your running routine.

She's right, you're less likely to flake on friends. If you can't round up running friends, be committed to running with your dog. It gets me out the door most days too! :)
