Reese Witherspoon took a higher road to Hollywood when she shared a positive message with young Hollywood talent and fans, alike. After accepting MTV's Generation Award at the Movie Awards on Sunday night, Reese made it clear she's not a fan of sex tapes, celebrity nude photos or scandals. So what's Kim Kardashian got to do with it?

"I get it, girls, that it's cool to be a bad girl," she told the crowd after being ironically given the award by controversial, but still gal pal, E! host Chelsea Handler. "But it is possible to make it in Hollywood without doing a reality show."

The 34-year-old "Water for Elephants" star looked stunning as she took the mic, alongside Handler and "Elephants" co-star Robert Pattison. While Reese expressed some humor and anxiety about following last year's award receipent Sandra Bullock's kissing number, she was quite frank about two things - Having great co-stars and luck along the journey of her acting career and having the wherewithall to not stoop in order to gain success.
TEEN SEX TAPES AREN'T "COOL," SAYS REESE
"When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed," Reese said, inferring a reference to teen-idol and reality TV star Kim Kardashian, who's inspired others to make sex tapes in order to become famous like her.
"IT'S OKAY TO BE THE GOOD GIRL"
Witherspoon added, "And if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people! Hide your face!" Despite half-way joking, Reese went on to say that "it's totally possible" to be a "good girl," adding she would "try and make it cool."
