The Sensei features legend Yuji Hirayama as he plans one of his hardest projects at the spectacular summit of Mount Kinabalu on the island of Borneo. With retirement near, Hirayama must find the right partner to take on this mammoth of a project and an unlikely partner, Daniel Woods, steps up to the plate. Woods may be one of the strongest humans in the climbing world but lacks mountain experience as his strength is in bouldering. Will Daniel-San be able to prove himself worthy under the direction of Mr. Hirayama? Find out as you watch this unexpected duo attempt the expedition of a lifetime.
Spice Girl will take you to the UK climbing scene which is known for its strict traditional ethic, yielding dangerous routes and a competitive machismo among the driven young climbers risking it all to prove their boldness. But what you might not expect is to find nice little blond girl, Hazel Findlay, putting lads to shame as she is a connoisseur of loose rock, dodgy gear, and big runouts. Findlay was the first woman to climb the British grade of E9 (super hard and super sketchy), and in this film, she teams up with Emily Harrington to tackle the untamed big walls of Taghia Gorge, Morocco.
High Tension: Ueli Steck and the Clash on Everest is an exclusive look at what happened and why during this bizarre event while Steck and Simone Moro attempted to climb Mount Everest via a different route that had never been climbed before. Steck and Moro along with photographer and alpinist Jon Griffith fled for their lives from Camp 2 when an angry crowd of Sherpas attacked them after an incident that sparked a flurry of gasps and angry recrimination. Criticism directed toward western climbers, Sherpa, guiding companies and even the legendary mountain itself was being thrown from all sides.
The Stone Masters is a feature documentary that is currently being worked on by Sender Films about the counterculture climbing scene in Yosemite over the last 50 years. Reel Rock will include a teaser clip from the film that focuses on the sex-drugs-n-rock era of Jim Bridwell and the Stonemasters.
