There’s no doubt Los Angeles-based rockers, Redlight King are destined for big success and that couldn’t have been more evident at their stop at the House of Blues in Orlando, Fla. Opening for Sick Puppies, this quartet led by frontman, Mark (Kaz) Kasprzyk proved that their show was polished and ready to headline their own tour. Supporting their sophomore album, Irons in the Fire, they they performed some of their newest singles such as, “Wipe the Floor With You” and “Born to Rise” while the enthusiastic crowd was jumping, dancing and fist-pumping throughout the entire set.
Lead guitarist, Julian Tomarin came out firing on all cylinders playing his guitar like it was an extension of his own body. Chord after chord, his fingers danced along his axe skillfully and gracefully like most guitar masters and he wasn’t shy about standing up on a lighted pedestal to show off his mad skills.
Their drummer played a great solo, which is something that’s missing from rock shows these days. Drum solos used to be standard protocol, but somewhere along the line they’ve seemed to disappear much to the fan’s demise.
Judging by the response from the crowd, big things are heading in Redlight King’s direction. Redlight King is currently touring across North America so be sure to check out their website for dates and cities. Also check out their new album, Irons in the Fire, on Hollywood Records. It is awesome, to say the least. There wasn’t one song on it that I didn’t like.
