New York Fashion Week is quickly upon us! In a month, top designers and stylists will reveal their Spring/Summer 2015 looks. Before that, we pause to highlight some of Redken's all-time favorite Fashion Week hairstyle, as created by the one. The only. Renowned hairstylist Guido. Redken's Creative Consultant.
Prada: Fall/Winter 2010: High Drama
The Prada 'do lends itself to, "classic French hairdressing." Its dramatic shape
and lacquered finish give the model a modern and sculpted look.
Alexander Wang, Spring/Summer 2010: Urban Romance
This somewhat-mussed look is Alexander Wang's interpretation of American sportswear.
It is described as, "urban romance." However, it's not romantic in the usual sense.
No. Rather, it is the feminine braid, along with the wearer's urban presence.
Marc by Marc Jacobs, Spring/Summer 2011: Bigger is Better
This playful, matte texture style was inspired by the likes of Grace Coddington and Diana Ross. The bold, hyper-boost volume is larger than life!
Diesel, Spring/Summer 2012: The Wet Look
This is the look of ease and comfort. Our model appears to have just come in off of the beach. It was inspired by a circa 1980's French girl's style. Redken guts 10 is what allows her to sport the wet look sans the drippy mess.
Marc Jacobs, Spring/Summer 2013: Miss Sixties
Having worn a glamorous hairstyle the night before, our wearer has gotten up the next day and is strolling down a sidewalk, in search of a coffee. This is a styled-then-slept-in look.
Dolce & Gabanna, Spring/Summer 2014: True Romance
Inspired by the Dolce & Gabanna Italian heritage, classic Italian cinema and Fellini, this girl always looks incredible. Her soft braided updo, along with the hair accessories is old world and romantic. She's a classic beauty.
Valentino, Fall/Winter 2014: Whimsical Touch
Noting the eclectic feel of this season, Valentino is giving over to the side of whimsy and playfulness. It's a simple look and gives some height to the crown, which gives us a 60's feel. It's beautiful, simple and remains true to the brand.
