On Aug. 28, 2014, at about 12:30 a.m. Australia time, Redfoo was the victim of a reportedly unprovoked attack at a Golden Sheaf Hotel pub in Double Bay, Australia. According to Stuff, the alleged attacker (an unnamed 21-year-old man) was arrested for throwing glass at Redfoo, whose facial area above his right eye was cut and bleeding as a result of the attack.
Stuff reports that the alleged attacker tried to flee the scene but was apprehended by police. According to Stuff: "The younger man was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station and charged with malicious wounding. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on Sept. 24, 2014."
Redfoo's real name is Stefan Kendal Gordy; his father is Motown Records founder Berry Gordy. Redfoo, who became a judge on "The X Factor" Australia in 2013, is best known for being a member of the pop/dance duo LMFAO, which went on hiatus in 2012. LMFAO's hits include "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy and I Know It."
The other "X Factor" Australia judges in 2014 are Ronan Keating, Dannii Minogue and Natalie Bassingthwaighte. It's the same judging panel that the show had in 2013. The show's sixth season began airing on Australia's Channel 7 on July 13, 2014.
