Reddit users have update the list of games affected by the GameSpy shutdown to include those that will be unaffected and ones that will lose its multiplayer feature.
The list was update over the weekend to include the Quake-series, SWAT 3, the Battlefield-series, and the original Soldier of Fortune games as being unaffected by the shutdown. It has also been confirmed that 15 games will be affected by the shutdown including Star Wars: Battlefront, Halo: Combat Evolve and Crysis.
Its was confirmed by Crytek that there are no plans to save Crysis and Crysis 2 from the the shutdown. A day earlier; EA confirmed that they plan save the Battlefield-series by switching them to Origin servers.
The fate of over 33 games are unknown while its expected more games will be added to the list. Among the games are Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, SWAT 4, and Far Cry.
It has confirmed that Rockstar Games and Activision will not be affected by the shutdown. Meanwhile Bohemia Interactive is in the process of transitioning its remaining titles from GameSpy to Steam servers. Nintendo however will be abandoning titles that rely on GameSpy servers while SEGA, Volition, and Namco Bandai have begun looking into their options.
GameSpy is an online multiplayer service that has hosted over +100 games. It is scheduled to be shutdown on May 31, 2014 and many games will no longer have an online multiplayer feature unless the publishers have switched to alternative servers.
