Redbox Update: New releases for February 14, 2012

It's time once again for the Redbox Update; the top new releases which will be available in Redbox kiosks for rent on Valentine's Day.  While many of the movies are not love tales, there are quite a few that deal with love and relationships.

Bed & Breakfast

Jake Sullivan(Dean Cain) recently inherited a small bed and breakfast in California wine country.  Although Jake still loves movie star wife Amanda (Kimberly Quinn), she is determined to divorce him.  Meanwhile, in Rio, Ana Villanova(Juliana Paes) is engaged to a beach bum and her half-brother is in trouble with the mob.  Ana's father passes away, leaving her with a mountain of debt.  Ana discovers the deed to a valuable U.S. property in her father's effects and decides it is her ticket out of the dilemma she finds herself in.  The problem - it is the same property that Jake has inherited.  With sparks flying, the town of Webster is suddenly the focus of a lot of attention that may just turn into a happy accident.

The Wedding Date

Kat Ellis (Debra Messing) has been dumped and is not ready for a relationship.  She returns to her parents' London home to attend her sister's wedding.  Kat knows that her ex-fiancé, the man who left her two years before, will make an appearance.  She refuses to attend the wedding without a date.  Rather than face her family's ridicule and to dupe her ex, Kat uses to Yellow Pages to hire a top-drawer male escort, Nick (Dermot Mulroney), to pose as her boyfriend.  The results are a funny plan gone awry.

Rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America for sexual content.

The Marriage Chronicles

Trying to add spice to their marriages, three couples attend a retreat run by a sexy psychologist and her husband at a Malibu estate meant to be tranquil and relaxing.  Fun erupts when the couples begin to share their innermost feelings.  With new challenges of the heart, only time will tell how far each couple will go to save their marriage.

Starring: Jazsmin Lewis, Darrin Dewitt Henson, Terri J. Vaughn, Persia White, Caryn Ward, Clifton Powell, Billy 'Sly' Williams, Tony Grant and Ayo Sorrells.

Seven Days in Utopia

Luke Chisolm (Lucas Black) is a talented young golfer determined to make the pro tour.  His first shot at the 'big time' is a public disaster.  After escaping the pressures of the golf game, Luke finds himself stranded in Utopia, Texas - home to eccentric rancher Johnny Crawford (Robert Duvall).  Johnny has a few tricks up his sleeve, and his way of viewing life forces Luke to question choices he made in his past, but the direction he wants to take in his future.

Paul Kemp(Johnny Depp) is a freelance journalist who has reached critical mass.  While he's in Puerto Rico writing for a run-down local newspaper, he soaks in sun and rum while becoming obsessed with the fiancée(Amber Heard) of a businessman(Aaron Eckhart) who is two shades darker than 'shady'.  Amidst lost souls bent on self-destruction, Paul is asked to write a favorable review of the businessman's latest scheme.  Paul may take the money or he may take the guy down.

Rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America for language, brief drug use and sexuality.
