Lynfred Winery's 2005 Merlot has all the big fruity characteristics one might expect of the varietal. What this eighty percent Merlot, twenty percent Cabernet Sauvignon blend has that most other Merlots does not is a unique harmony of smoky and tangy flavors akin to those found in the air of a backyard barbecue.

This wine's provocative, deep, brick red color is its bold first impression before the scent of smoking cedar planks takes over. The fusion of sweet acidity that comes through in the bouquet delivers a pleasantly tangy flavor to the senses as the wine is sipped.

Lynfred's 2005 Merlot is a medium to full-bodied red that is very well balanced with a long lasting finish. This wine is a fantastic accompaniment to pastas with tomato based sauces and brownies.

Be sure to check out Lynfred Winery's website for locations where you can get your bottle (or case) of this brilliantly styled Merlot.
