Spicy red suits in shades of cayenne and paprika added spice to the Jil Sander Menswear Autumn/Winter 2013 collection fashion show during Milan Fashion Week Menswear on January 12, 2013 in Milan, Italy.
The monochrome red suits come in single- and double-breasted style and are worn with dressy matching red knit T-shirts. With February approaching, these suits may be just the thing you’re looking for to surprise your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day!
As for the rest of the Jil Sander Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, there are definite creative touches, such as the pairing of plaid and striped fabric to render a fitted double-breasted suit that is topped off with a thick black collar, perhaps part of a shirt. The suit apparently has its own lapels.
Those collars, also available in grey and red, top other suits and coats. Adding faux collars on top of an outfit is something that is usually done with women’s outfits. Very innovative Jil Sander!
More unusual touches include the sleeveless top and pant ensemble, which is made of men’s suiting material, the black sleeveless zippered coat and her color-blocked pieces. The criss-cross motif jumpers are quite unusual as well…
Classical touches to this Jil Sander Menswear collection are offered by the double-breasted full-length navy blue and olive green coats.
German designer Jil Sander also offers a wonderful selection of bags for men, in particular the teal green carry bag (or is it a brief case?), the textured brown side-by-side clutch bag duo and several large clutch bags without handles.
