I'm not sure what this liitle guy was more excited about, the autographs or the wives?
This Friday and Saturday, July 24th and 25th, the Red Sox wives will be hosting a Can and Cash Drive outside of Fenway Park. The event runs from around 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM each night. The proceeds will go directly to The Greater Boston Food Bank.
The event is in its 18th year. In total, they have raised more than $170,000 and provided more than 145,000 pounds of food.
There are two ways to donate: canned goods or cold hard cash. Red Sox wives will be stationed at booths around the ballpark. In addition to accepting donations, they will also be providing autographed pictures of various Red Sox players, while supplies last. (Limit four per fan.) You can pick up a signed picture for either $10 or 10 canned goods. Since autographs of the bigger names are sure to go first, you might want to avoid the main entrance and see if you can find a less crowded table down one of the side streets.
If you are really nice, you might even be able to get a Sox wife to also sign their husband’s picture. Why would you want a Red Sox wife’s signature? Well, it is unique. Plus, it could be worth something someday. Imagine if you had an A-Rod photo signed by Alex and his ex-wife Cynthia. I’m just saying, things happen.
Back to the food drive, you do not need a game ticket to donate food or money, or to get a signed picture of a Sox player. If you are going to a Sox game this Friday or Saturday, stop at one of the Can and Cash Drive booths and donate some money or food. It goes to a good cause. And if you don’t have a ticket, head down to Fenway, drop off some money, get yourself a signed photo, then go over to the Cask’n Flagon to watch the game.
In conjunction with this food drive, The Greater Boston Food Bank and Celebrities for Charity will also be raffling off the game-worn "stars and stripes" gear that Jason Varitek wore during this year's July 4th game. Tickets cost only $2 each and can be purchased on-line. Jason Varitek will personally present the winner with the game-worn equipment, which he will autograph. The winner will also receive four tickets to the August 10th Sox game and a tour of Fenway.

I wish they were doing this on Sunday, July 26th--I'm going to the game that day.
