Red Russian: A perfect cocktail for the Sochi Olympics

With the Winter Olympics heating up in Russia, what better way to celebrate international sports with a cocktail inspired by the host country. A "Red Russian" features Russian staple: Vodka, and cherry or strawberry liqueur. It can also be prepared with tomato or cranberry juice.

Did You Know?

During WWII, in the former USSR, Red Russians were sometimes prepared with boiled cow's blood. Not too appetizing, but no worries this Red Russian is hemoglobin-free and features Fragoli strawberry liqueur.


  • 1 oz Fragoli liqueur
  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Heavy Cream
  • A cocktail shaker


1. Add ice to your cocktail shaker; add the vodka and heavy cream and shake well.

2. Add ice to your rock glass and strain the vodka and cream mixture into the glass.

3. Swirl in 1 oz of Fragoli, and enjoy.
