Head out to Georgetown this weekend to help paint the town red! Wear red, get a free red balloon during the Saturday morning parade, and visit the paintings of red poppies filling the Square.
The Red Poppy Festival has a full line-up of family friendly fun. Kicking off Friday night, there will be free concerts (bring your own seating), starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday morning at 10 a.m., you can enjoy a festive parade through the streets of Georgetown. Visit here to download a map of the route. Saturday and Sunday will be be filled with live music, both on stage and by roving musicians. Austin favorite Biscuit Brothers will be performing on the Georgetown Stage at 2:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. There will also be over 100 Arts and Crafts booths, a car show, tasty food, Red Poppy Bike Ride, Red Poppy 5K Run, Red Poppy Pageant, Red Poppy Homebrew Fest, and a kids' fun area!
The festival is free, parking is free and there is a free shuttle service offered. Head on out and plan to stay awhile. There will be so much fun, food, art, and music to enjoy. Visit here for the complete schedule of events.
