After some speculation, it has been confirmed that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will play this year's Super Bowl half time show. The band will join Bruno Mars as his special guests. This year's event takes place at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The news was confirmed via the official Super Bowl Twitter account this past weekend.

The half time show isn't the only music event related to the game. The Foo Figthers will headline a special gig leading up to the Super Bowl. Imagine Dragons, The Roots, and Fall Out Boy will also perform at the mini festival. This performance will take place at New York's Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum.
