Veteran alternative funk rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers are headed to the TD Garden in Boston, Mass.
Tickets to the Monday, May 7 show go on sale this Friday, January 27 at 10 a.m.
The group’s current tour is in promotion of their most recent album, I’m With You, which was released in August 2011.
This was the band’s first album in five years (Stadium Arcadium, 2006) and first to feature new guitarist John Klinghoffer who replaced long-time band member John Frusciante.
Formed in 1983, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are regarded as one of the most succesfull alternative rock bands in recent memory; successfully combining elements of funk, punk, hip-hop and psychedelic rock.
The band was recently named inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and will be officially inducted in April 2012.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have won seven Grammy Awards and sold over 70 million albums worldwide.
