The Fourth of July falls on a Friday this year so there will be plenty of time to take in the area festivities. Among these is the 19th Annual Red, Hot and Boom Independence Day Celebration on July 3rd from 4 to 11 pm in Altamonte Springs.
Red Hot & Boom features a lineup of nationally and internationally known musical artists brought to you by XL106.7. These bands will perform live sets throughout the event, before and after the fireworks display. This event also includes children’s activities, vendor booths, food, drinks and an amazing 25-minute firework display synchronized with patriotic music mixed with today’s popular hits.

Food vendors are located throughout the venue around the lake. All food vendors are permitted by, and come under the supervision of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
There are over 65 portable restrooms and two park restrooms located throughout the site. Handicap accessible restrooms and hand wash stations are available at all restroom locations.
This is one of the largest Fourth of July celebrations in the Central Florida area with an estimated 150,000 guests expected to attend. With a crowd this size, there are some rules to help make this safe and enjoyable for everyone:
No coolers on wheels
No firearms, weapons, sharp objects or personal fireworks
No glass containers
No pre-mixed beverages
No grilling, propane tanks or open flames
Pop up Tents/Canopies with no sides - maximum size 10' x10' (Tents and canopies must be taken down at sundown.)
Blankets/Tarps - no bigger than 10' x 10'
Folding/Beach Chairs only
Personal Soft Sided Coolers - must be carried in by shoulder strap or single handle (no wheels)
All carry in items are subject to inspection at any time during the event.
XL 106.7 will simulcast the choreographed musical portion of the fireworks show beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m. (weather permitting). There are also live interviews with the artists airing on the station throughout the afternoon and evening. Stay tuned to XL106.7 for weather updates and schedule changes throughout the day.
There will also be two large video screens that will carry the concert throughout the evening.
Red Hot & Boom is free event and open to the public.
