NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team, Red Horse Racing, announced on Tuesday that German Quiroga will pilot a No. 77 Toyota for the organization in 2013 and compete for Truck Series Rookie of the Year honors.
"I am very happy to join Red Horse Racing," Quiroga said. "I looked around the RHR shop back in December and was very pleased with the entire organization and how well they support each other."
Red Horse Racing will be a three-team operation in 2013, also fielding entries for Timothy Peters (17) and John Wes Townley (7). Dan Stillman will be Quiroga's crew chief.
"This is a crucial year in German's career, as he competes for Rookie of the Year honors," Stillman said. "Being a part of Red Horse Racing has given both German and me the best chances of getting the feat done with the right equipment and resources with Toyota and Joe Gibbs Engines."
Even though, Quiroga is a rookie in series competition this year, he does have a little bit of Truck Series experience, as he has already made six-career starts in the series. He is also a three-time champion in NASCAR's Mexico Series.
"German is such a distinctive race car driver," truck owner Tom DeLoach said. "We are anxious to see what this year will bring him. He knows what it takes to win championships, and we are thrilled to be able to provide him with the equipment to be competitive."
