The Red Fox Winery and Vineyard is located approximately and hour and half from Kansas City, MO. (driving times may differ depending on where you live in the city). This winery is quaint and family owned. It is tucked along highway 7 on your way to Clinton, MO. It is about 8 miles east of Garden City, MO. The winery is located off of a gravel road; make sure to look for the signs to guide you in.
This place is absolutely perfect for a girls trip or a little day trip with your sweetie. You can walk through the gardens, pick blackberries, do a tasting and then get a bite to eat at their bistro. You can also attend one of their fun events.
They have limited hours so be sure to plan your trip accordingly. They are open Friday and Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 11am-5pm.
The Red Fox Winery and Vineyard sits on about 32 acres and then has another 32 acres at their production site in Ballard, MO. They grow several different types of grapes that they use to make their wine. They have a wonderful selection of both white and red wine, ranging from sweet to dry. They feature a new wine each month.
You can do a tasting, which is reasonably priced. After you have done the tasting have a glass, or bottle, of your favorite wine and enjoy it on their beautiful patio.

The Red Fox also has a cute bistro with delicious food. They have both a lunch and dinner menu. All of their food is sensibly priced and is absolutely delicious. While visiting the winery two ladies who were having lunch raved about how good the food was.The bistro had a large number of guests for a 3pm on Sunday, a testament to how good their food is.
They have a grape stomping event, this year it was held in July. People come out stomp grapes and enjoy the festivities.
Every December they have a Christmas party. This year’s party is tentatively set for December 2nd (you will have to call for more information). They have carolers, food, and music. It is a great time.
Other things to do are picking blackberries (when in season) or enjoying live music.
They also have a large, private dining hall that can be used for parties, receptions, meeting, weddings, etc.
