Red for the Holiday

Christmas is over and we put all the decorations away. Now what do we do? It is time for the sweet heart holiday. Leave out the red. The red boxes that you used at Christmas, the red can, the candles and so forth. Add a little sparkle to them. You can put a heart shaped doily under them, or something romantic. Don't for get about this holiday.

A candy dish with cinnamon hearts is a great way to sweeten the day. There are also candy corn that are the Valentine day colors. Candy is a great way to add color to a room, and when the holiday is over most of the candy is gone and you do not have to find a place to store those decorations. You also do not have to have a crystal candy dish, a great colored bowl works great, even a plastic kids dish at the dolor store is wonderful to put candy into.

I also like to put white towels in the bath room with a touch of red. A red bathroom can be a little much if not done correctly, so add a red wash clothe on the white towel. Add a Valentines Day stuffed pet onto the pile of towels. It will make it fun and you will have to smile when you walk in. That is what a room should do. Make you happy with the simple little things.

Enjoy your house without spending a fortune. Times are tough. Rearrange things and use the unexpected.
