Hey Grand Rapids beauties! What are you doing for Valentine’s Day? Not a clue? Not a worry! As it turns out, Cygnus 27 is once again hosting their Red Party. Benefiting the Grand Rapids Red Project, the event is on the eve of the big day and boasts a contest for attendees and encourages ladies to come dressed in their pin-up, rockabilly best – think Dita von Teese for inspiration – and will have the gals from Moxie Beauty and Hair Parlor ( on board to pinch in and make you look your vintage best for half price, as Moxie specializes in rockabilly looks from beauty’s past.

Once you’re all set with your look, just make sure to dress in red and get ready to dance the night away to live entertainment provided by Delilah Dewylde & The Lost Boys, and plenty of fun cocktails featuring Valentine Vodka. There is no cover charge for this event, but donations are appreciated as it is benefitting the organization, whose goal is to ‘fight against AIDS/HIV, hepatitis, and the harmful or risky choices that help spread these life-altering medical conditions’ ( This is a great way to look lovely and pitch in to a great cause, directly benefitting Grand Rapids, amongst the 3,000+ other invitees!

The event is at 8 pm on February 13th at Cygnus 27, located on the 27th floor of the tower in the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, and you must be 21 or older to attend. For more information, visit the Facebook event page at
