While late-night cookie delivery is nothing new in big cities, it will be a new thing for people in Richmond, Virginia.
In a few weeks, Richmonders will be able to satisfy their cravings for something sweet late at night when Red Eye Cookie Company opens for business.
The owners of the company are long time friends Colin Wright and Brayden Pleasants who grew up baking with their mothers in Ashland.
The Red Eye Cookie Company will offer cookies, milk and coffee for takeout or delivery.
Red Eye Cooke Company has a simple menu for its homemade, gourmet cookies: chocolate chip, peanut butter, Snicker doodle, Macadamia nut, vegan and gluten-free specials. They will also have local coffee, and milk (local, mass-produced or soy) delivered right to your door.
Cookies are baked to order and cost from $1.25 to $1.50 each whether a customer orders just one or a dozen. However, there are special pricings for bulk orders.
The owners believe the late-night part is key and part of the fun. Red Eye Cookie Company will be open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on weekdays and 2 a.m. on weekends, offering delivery to the Fan, Museum District, Manchester, Church Hill and nearby areas.
Red Eye Cookie Company will operate out of Sally Bell's Kitchen at 708 W. Grace Street.
The cookie company will keep Richmonders informed of the actual date when it will be opened for business.
