Red carpet winners: 2013 Oscars Award show Best Dressed (Photos)

When the Oscars Award show comes around every year, the fashion world already knows what that means. You are guaranteed a successful red carpet this time of year, as many celebrities showcase some of the most breathtaking gowns many will ever experience. Today's show was no different, as many came out in some of their best red carpet gown choices for the 2013 Oscars, held at Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood, California. Among the best dressed of the evening were Amy Adams, Catherine Zeta Jones, Charlize Theron, Halle Berry, and Kelly Rowland.

Halle Berry always keeps the red carpet smoking with her daring and sexy gown choices, and she definitely made the best dressed list tonight in a beautiful form fitting, Versace dress that had the internet ablaze admiring her look. The floor length sparkly gown had a striped effect that accentuated her silhouette, as well as a deep plunge that added sexiness. The look was a little less revealing than past red carpet gowns, but the sex appeal definitely remained. This edgy look was topped off with Berry's sassy signature haircut.

Amy Adams looked as if she walked right out of a fashion fairytale, as she walked the red carpet in a flowing, uberelegant Oscar de la Renta gown. The layered tulle strapless gown was very sophisticated with a detailed bodice and full skirt.Although Adams had wardrobe malfunctions as she stepped onto the red carpet,this was one of the best red carpet looks of the night, and one of the best looks Amy Adams has ever debuted. She completed this look with a sophisticated updo.

Catherine Zeta Jones never disappoints when she walks the red carpet. She oozes a sensuality that not many can compete with, and always selects dresses that show off her figure and play to her mysterious and elegant demeanor. She opted for a golden Zuhair Murad gown, a designer that is known for sexy, breathtaking red carpet gowns.

Charlize Theron kept it simple, yet modern and elegant in a beautiful white Christian Dior Couture gown. This classic look was perfect for Theron, who always dazzles in white. The strapless peplum style gown was definitely one of the crowd's favorites, and the strapless number complemented her glowing complexion. Theron completed her look with a sleek short haircut.

Kelly Rowland is not a newcomer to red carpets, however her great style has had the fashion world in an uproar lately. Following up the beautiful and controversial gown she wore to the Grammys recently, Rowland donned an elegant black and white Donna Karan gown, exposing her leg Angelina Jolie-style through an up-to-there slit. The beautiful gown had an asymmetrical origami-inspired bodice and a floor length black skirt. Rowland accessorized this look with a sleek updo with a full bang, and opaque peep toe heels.
