There were many stars impeccably dressed Sunday night at the 2013 Grammy Awards show. Although there were a few dress code violators with the strict rules set in place for this year's show, stars left and right were proving that they have what it takes to be a force not just in the music world, but in the fashion world as well. Some of the stand outs of the night included Kelly Rowland, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Swift.
Taylor Swift opted for a Grecian styled J. Mendel gown, wearing a beautiful flowing ivory style with a deep yet sophisticated plunge, and strategic geometric detailing. This dress was very fitting for her, and she looked extremely graceful and elegant on the red carpet. She accessorized with a simple yet classic up do.
Country darling Carrie Underwood never ceases to amaze on the red carpet. This time around, she opted for a dark and elegant look, wearing a Roberto Cavalli metallic embroidered strapless gown with a sheer illusion hemline. This look was stunning on her, emphasizing her silhouette, yet still flowing freely.
Katy Perry stood out in a major way, not just because of her extreme show of cleavage, which landed her on the dress code violators list, but also because of the bright color she opted to wear. Perry donned a soft yet bright green Gucci gown, that hugged her body in all the right places. The long sleeved gown was perfect for bringing out her beautiful eyes and complemented her dark hair well. This look was simple, yet a standout, and the fashion world loves and admires the way that Katy Perry always takes risks on the red carpet. The gown was complete with a multicolored chest piece that accentuated her cleavage.
Kelly Rowland turned everyone's heads as she walked the red carpet in a beautiful and very sexy Georges Chakra Couture gown The gown was black and had strategic cutouts placed all over the breast and thigh area, giving the world quite a peek at Kelly's new curvy silhouette. This look was definitely a winner of the night. The gown, although revealing, was still elegant due to being all black, and she kept the accessorizing to a minimum to keep the focus on the dress detail.
Rihanna wore a stunning Azzedine Alaia red gown, that was also a big winner of the night. The dress was perfect for the controversial singer, and complemented her signature red lip look well. With a criss crossed sheer bodice, the dress had just enough detail to keep the look elegant. Alicia Keys was another standout of the night, wearing a dramatic all black look with a criss cross torso, also designed by Azzedine Alaia. This soft yet rough contrast was a great look for the "Girl on Fire" singer.
Beyonce, who normally sizzles on the red carpet with breathtaking gowns with revealing detail, toned down for this year's Grammys, opting to wear an Osman studio black and white pantsuit. This look, although quite casual for a red carpet appearance, was very chic and pulled together. Although she wasn't revealing much skin, her curves were still emphasized greatly in this outfit, proving that you don't have be revealing to be sexy. She completed this simple black and white look with a standout red lip, and a sleek ponytail.
