Nude lips continue to be one of the top red carpet trends of 2014. They have been spotted on so many celebrities at the Golden Globes, Grammys, and People's Choice Awards that nude lips deserve some kind of award this season. On the opposite end of spectrum from the vampy reds and bold fuschias the nude lip makes just as much of a statement, both on and off the red carpet.

There are two major perks to this trend. One, you can play up the eyes and cheeks more. Create a smoldering smokey eye or apply a deep blush. Two, you can kiss lipstick stains goodbye, can I get an Amen?

Winter is in full swing and that means dry and chapped lips for many, so keep lips in tip top shape. After all, don't you want them to look good naked? Always remember to use protection... I'm talking about lip balm here! Be sure to apply before entering the cold. To get rid of pesky dry skin on lips scrub them with a toothbrush. Make sure no toothpaste is involved since it can cause lips to become even drier. Avoid products with alcohol and artificial flavors, look for ones with petroleum and coco butter which keep lips moisturized.

When buying a nude lip color consult a sale associate who knows what they are doing. Like most other lipsticks nude shades have different undertones, so you should find the best fit for your complexion.
