Part of the excitement of any event is seeing what the stars are wearing especially at the 86h Academy Awards Las Vegas had the privilege of participating in the Academy Awards Oscar Night Las Vegas-style at the Palms Hotel and Casino, held in the lobby of the Brenden Theater's complex.

Some of the most luxurious, extravagant and daring fashions were worn by the nominees and stars at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood and here along the Las Vegas Red Carpet. Most of the famous designer’s gowns were represented.

In Hollywood, Bette Midler wore a red lace form-fitting Reem Acra gown with cap-sleeves, thick scrolls of decorative rococo embroidery and a petite train.

Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn’s daughter, walked down the red carpet in an Atelier Versace gown with a revealing plunging neckline and beaded waist detailing. Her cape added to the elegance and surprising plunging back.

Meryl Streep, two time Academy Award Best Actress winner for Actress in a Leading Role, one time winner for Best Actress in a Supporting Role along with eighteen nominations, celebrated Oscar Night wearing a two-toned off-the-shoulder Lanvin gown.

Academy Award winner Best Actress (2014) Cate Blanchett attracted attention with her semi-sheer Giorgio Armani gown.

Academy Award winner Best Actress (2013) Anne Hathaway selected a Gucci gown with a shiny metallic halter top for the evening.

Academy Award-winning Best Actress Jennifer Lawrence (2013) stood-out with her red peplum gown by Christian Dior.

Broadway was represented by Kristin Chenoweth in a golden Roberto Cavalli gown with an etched two-toned design.

The Las Vegas Academy Award’s red carpet ceremonies welcomed VIP’s, celebrities from the Las Vegas shows and sponsors wearing the latest sparkling gowns and fashion statements.

With such a wide variety of styles and surprises, this became a colorful parade of glamorous outfits and attractive ladies. I was thrilled to wear a Metrostyle fashion.

Many women looked like stars. There was one black gown with a plunging back accented by a jeweled decoration.

Another unique cocktail dress featured black lace sculptured around the cream bodice with sheer shoulders and sleeves.
