Red Carpet Fashion at The 2013 Oscar's (Photos)

Awards season has finally come to an end and Hollywood’s finest went out with a bang on the red carpet at the 2013 Academy Awards on Sunday, February 24th.

One of the biggest trends of the night was icy, pale shades. Amy Adams looked like a fairy-tale in her pale blue, frayed organza Oscar de la Renta princess gown. Also rocking this trend was Jennifer Lawrence in her strapless pale pink-and-white Dior Haute Couture bustier ball gown. Red carpet favorite, Charlize Theron, looked sleek and statuesque in her sculptural white silk Dior peplum gown and new pixie cut.

Another huge hit at the Oscar’s was Jessica Chastain in a stunning Armani Prive gown and vintage Harry Winston jewelry. "It came down to old Hollywood for me," Chastain said. "What I love so much about this dress is the pink beads and underneath it's copper." This strapless, coppery-nude sequin mesh Armani gown was old Hollywood glam at its best. Armani was also a winning look for another star. Naomi Watts looked gorgeous and glam in her gun-metal gray Armani dress, which featured all-over sequins and galactic-inspired cap sleeves, giving it a futuristic and edgy feel.

Ex-James Bond girl Halle Berry celebrates 50 years of 007 in a black and silver-striped Versace dress. Halle Berry was looking as fierce as ever in this long-sleeve Versace creation made based on her request to look like a” bond girl.” Jane Fonda, a diva in a class of her own, outshined many of the young Hollywood starlets in her canary-yellow corseted Versace gown. This electric gown featured strong shoulders and sequin details.

With every red carpet must come fashion failures. Prada was a last-minute decision for Anne Hathaway, who channeled Audrey Hepburn in the blush-colored dress that she decided on only three hours before her red-carpet arrival. And that decision did not work in her favor. She paired her gown with a sparkly Tiffany necklace, but perhaps she should have paired it with a bra instead!

But the Academy Award for best dressed goes to… Amanda Seyfried! The 27-year-old Les Miserables actress wore a beautiful custom Alexander McQueen gown, Roger Vivier shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Seyfried said of the gown, “I can't sit down and I feel like my organs are being pulled out of my body slowly." Well, She hid that pain well because all that was seen was how absolutely flawless she looked!
