The Red Bull Music Academy was created as an outlet for some of the best musicians from all over the world to come together and attend lectures by musical pioneers as well as creating music of their own. Some of the successful alumni of the academy include: Flying Lotus, Tokimonsta, Aloe Blacc and Ghosts on Tapes, just to name a few.
The Red Bull Music Academy is held in a different city every year and this year the lucky location is New York City. To get a jumpstart in the new year and to launch the application phase, which opens February 2nd, the academy is bringing some top New York talent to San Francisco, for 3 days of good music.
Following suit with the first day of The Red Bull Music Academy’s three day event in the form of The Red Bull Music Academy presents The Gary Bartz Project with Featured Guests Bilal and Aloe Blacc Produced by Jill Newman Productions, the second day of the academy will hosts it’s hip-hop day featuring The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito show.
