Red Bull Dreamline heads east to Asheville fall of 2014

The best of BMX dirt will be back for its third year this fall just south of Asheville, North Carolina for the Red Bull Dreamline. The bigger course at the Oskar Blues REEB Ranch will bring a bold athlete list and some of the most challenging jumps seen in BMX history on October 10-11, 2014.

The Blue Ridge Parkway will be converted into a dream downhill BMX dirt course with bigger jumps than last year from top to bottom. The Red Bull Dreamline was conceived by pro athlete Anthony Napolitan to showcase the best of dirt riding by the riders and for the riders. Builder Adam Aloise has been given six weeks and the freedom to develop concept into course and promises to groom a next level dirt playground. Some of the elements will remain under wraps until riders arrive on site, but the course guarantees to be the most challenging to date, including 10 jumps, with the largest sending athletes up to 35-feet in the air.

A total of 28 riders have been invited and will be joined by four alternates selected during the practice sessions. The 32 riders will compete in two heats of 16 in the qualifiers. When athletes are not competing in a heat, they will be judging their fellow riders as the jam session format of the contest has been developed to benefit the riders. The top six from each heat will move on to Saturday’s final and will be judged by a randomly drawn group of non-qualifying riders from Friday.

Some of the riders include: Alejandro Caro, Ben Wallace, Brian Foster, Cam White, Dennis Enarson, Drew Bezanson, Joey Cordova, Pat Casey, Ryan Nyquist, Sebastian Keep Zak Earley, Jaie Toohey and several others. Alternates include: Brandon Dosch, James Foster, Kris Fox, Matt Cordova, Sergio Layos, Chase Hawk and a few more.

Creator Anthony Napolitan says, “Red Bull Dreamline is an event that BMX riders can show up to, ride, have a great time, progress, and feel completely comfortable without the pressures of a normal contest setting. We’re excited to head east where dirt BMX was born.” The BMXers will be able to enjoy the freedom of pushing the limits with their friends on a course that has no rules or constraints which is what they love most about riding.
