If you have been wondering what would be the next project from Academy Award winning director Danny Boyle, wonder no longer, it’s “Trance” starring James McAvoy and Rosario Dawson. The new red band trailer to the movie was released today, Valentine’s Day, and it looks like Danny Boyle is getting back to some of his grittier roots. Click the video in the sidebar to see for yourself.
The “Trance” red band trailer starts tranquil enough when we see McAvoy being put under hypnosis by Dawson. Things start peaceful until some tough guys, wanting to know where a missing painting is, start cutting off James McAvoy’s fingers.
Since this is a red band trailer some materials may not be appropriate for all viewers. If you can’t handle gore, you may not like the final image of the “Trance” trailer. Remember, before “127 Hours” and “Slumdog Millionaire”, Danny Boyle directed such movies like “Shallow Grave” and “28 Days Later” so “Trance” is hardly a departure for him. The movie is set to open in April.
