The “Trance” red band trailer starts tranquil enough when we see McAvoy being put under hypnosis by Dawson. Things start peaceful until some tough guys, wanting to know where a missing painting is, start cutting off James McAvoy’s fingers.

Remember, before “127 Hours” and “Slumdog Millionaire”, Danny Boyle directed such movies like “Shallow Grave” and “28 Days Later” so “Trance” is hardly a departure for him. The movie is set to open in April.
