We all love tips to make our life just a little bit more manageable. As your Dallas Household Tips Examiner I search for tips for myself and pass them along to my readers.
I always look for things that can be re-used around the house, I love it when I can recycle something and don't have to go buy it. That makes me feel like I am doing my part to help the environment, plus it saves me money!
I found one the other day that I am going to use this spring, when I get ready to start some seeds. No more buying eggs in styrofoam cartons for our family; because if I buy my eggs in cardboard cartons I can use those empty cartons to start my seeds! Then, once I am ready to plant them in bigger pots or in the ground, I don't even have to remove the plant, just pop the cardboard carton and plant into the ground!
You can also use egg shells as seed starting pots; you will have to be careful and not just destroy the shell. If you can crack the egg and leave at least ¾ of the egg shell in tack, these make excellent seed starter pots, and again when it comes time to replant all you have to do in stick the whole shell in ground or bigger pot.
