This weekend, two of Bakersfield's non-profit organizations - both of which provide compassionate services to our community - are partnering with Alianza Recycling and Recovery LLC to raise funds while raising awareness (and keeping electronic items out of our landfills)! The Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault (AAFSA) and the Bakersfield Homeless Center are each hosting an e-waste recycling drive at their respective addresses (see below). Get rid of your electronic devices the responsible way, and help these amazing organizations to continue the fine work that they are doing.
Also this weekend, time to replenish your larder with healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables as well as a lot of other amazing, locally produced foods and home-made craft items, like soaps and lotions. You'll find it all at our local Farmers Markets.
