Professional recruiting firm QUAD656, a woman-owned business,opened its doors in 2001. It now employs 30 recruiters and operates two offices, including one in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
“Our recruiters have professional backgrounds in the disciplines for which they recruit,” said Lori Marcus, CPC, principal of QUAD656. “They have earned undergraduate and MBA degrees from top-tier schools and many are certified public accountants. We have the largest tenured recruiting staff in the Philadelphia area, with over sixty-percent of our recruiters having ten or more years of recruiting in their disciplines.”
The firm actively searches for qualified candidates for accounting, finance, human resources, insurance, engineering and information technology positions.
“I would say that the financial services industry is our largest client-base industry,” said Marcus. “Over the years we have gone from a heavy direct-hire business to more of a fifty-fifty split between direct-hire and temporary placement services.”
Marcus, a Philadelphia native, started QUAD656 after becoming intimately familiar with employment services first-hand.
“Philadelphia was my home and when I came back, after graduating from college, I went to a search firm for assistance,” said Marcus. “I worked with professionals at that firm for a couple of months, as I searched for a position. I had a great experience and thought what they did was interesting. I asked them for a job!”
Marcus said that the hottest trend at her agency is e-marketing, social networking and technology. If she had unlimited funds to improve her business, she said that she would install a voice-over-internet-protocol (VOIP) system. The system would allow her recruiters to contact each other from anywhere, by using web phone calls.
Paoli and the surrounding communities along the Philadelphia Main Line apparently house a large pool of talented professionals in many practice areas.
“The quality of the people working for the local companies is outstanding,” said Marcus.
