The Sport Fishing & Boating Partnership Council has slated a public teleconference for Friday, Sept. 13 from noon 1 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The public is welcome to listen in, submit written comments and give oral presentations. But you must register by Monday, Sept. 9 to do any of the above. The council has set aside 15 minutes for public speakers and no one can talk for more than two minutes.
The 18-member council provides advice on recreational fishing, boating and aquatic matters to the Department of the Interior.
The main purpose of the meeting involves considering a recommendation on the Hunting, Fishing and Outdoor Recreation strategy of the National Wildlife Refuge System Vision. The council will also plan for its October meeting and may discuss other matters.
