Recreation of favorite ballroom dance on the finale of Dancing with the Stars

This week, contestants performed a recreation of their favorite ballroom dance during Round one on the second night of the finale of Dancing with the Stars.

Prior to the contestants’ recreation, there was an opening performance by current and returning contestants, followed by a performance by Christina Aguilera and twelve dancers from her upcoming movie, Burlesque.  She later returned to perform her number one hit “Beautiful.”

Tango

Actor Kyle Massey and dance partner Lacey Schwimmer danced their Tango from week six, which was Rock ‘n’ roll week.

The judges were very impressed with their recreation of the Tango.  Len Goodman described it as “full on,” and said that it had “great energy.”  Bruno Tonioli stated that Kyle has the “power to connect with the people.”  Carrie Ann Inaba said that Kyle was "poised and powerful," and that his Tango had "fluidity."

Viennese waltz

Actress Jennifer Grey and dance partner Derek Hough recreated their Viennese waltz from week one.  It  was a beautiful and elegant waltz.  Len Goodman described it as a “mix of elegance and ease.”  Bruno Tonioli said, “there was a quality of movement and artistry combined to form a beautiful waltz.”
