Records falling at the Stock Show

The 116th Annual Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show has opened with record setting events. It all started with the all-western Parade in downtown Fort Worth where a record 2,235 horses lined the streets before an estimated crowd of over 100,000 people. The parade included wagons, mules, zeedonks (cross between a zebra and a donkey), local bands and one from Mexico and reenactment Confederate Soldiers, but no motorized vehicles at all.

The PRCA rodeo purse is a record setting $600,000+ in prize money with over 1200 contestants vying for the money and the coveted title to start the year off. Plus, if last Saturday's attendance wasn't a record setter it had to be very close.
