Record Store Day, every music lover's favorite holiday, returns this November 29, otherwise known as "Black Friday." While hordes of crazed shoppers will flood malls and department stores, audiophiles can browse happily and peacefully within the comfortable confines of their local independent music store.
As with every Record Store Day, the releases are plentiful and range all over the musical spectrum. Some of the premier releases for this year include: the 2013 Steve Albani mix of Nirvana's In Utero on vinyl; a "lost" 1970 Grateful Dead concert from Family Dog At The Great Highway; a 12-inch reproduction of Nas' first single "Halftime"; and the first vinyl pressing of The Replacements All Shook Down.
