On Thursday, the Canadian company, Recon received investment capital from Intel Corp (INTC), the amount was undisclosed. The investment will help fund Recon's product development, marketing and global sales expansion. The Recon Jet is the competitor of Google Glass. Google Glass sells for $1,500 and Recon Jet for only $599. The Recon Jet promotes itself as the wearable computer of professionals and athletes. Recon has already shipped 50,000 units worldwide of its snow model designed for skiers. It also has launched a successful campaign with Apple retail stores.
