The first ever Vancouver Web Festival is set to take place May 2-4, 2014 in Vancouver's posh, newly renovated, Imperial Vancouver (located at 319 Main St).

Founded by executive director, Suzette Laqua, producer of the 2011 hit, Last Chance Casting, the Vancouver Web Festival is Canada's first international web series festival and will recognize purely web based content across the globe.

Awards are to be presented to the "Best of" in the following categories:

  • Comedy
  • Drama
  • Action/Adventure
  • Fantasy/Science Fiction
  • Reality
  • Documentary/Non-Fiction
  • Animation
  • Mystery/Thriller
  • Horror
  • Musical
  • Foreign
  • App Based Series(a series designed as a downloadable application on a smart device, whereby the user must download the application in order to watch the periodic episodes of the series)
  • Overall Series
  • Actor
  • Actress
