When reading on Patriot Action Network about Hillary Clinton receiving the “Liberty Medal”, the first thing that came to mind was her disquieting remark when questioned about those responsible for the Benghazi attack. She was very vehement in her reply when she said, “What difference does that make?”
This was coming from our Secretary of State who should have shown some compassion for the families of the four fallen Americans who died during that attack that she calmly proclaimed was a protest gone wrong over an obscure anti-Mohammed film shown on YouTube.
The fact that she is going to receive such a medal is bad enough, but for her to receive it on the eve of the first anniversary of the Benghazi terrorist attack, shows just how little she cares about the four murdered Americans and their families.
She is a left-wing Progressive in every sense of the word and Jeb Bush who is presenting the medal is right there with her.
According to a statement by Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton has dedicated her life to serving and engaging people across the world in democracy. Well, that may be true, but just who are the people she’s been engaging? Why has her focus seemed to be more on foreign powers who really aren’t friends with America? Why has she not spent more time helping our people to be a stronger republic and strengthen our ties with our allies?
How can anyone who has proven herself to have lied time and time again and who has also been found to have been directly responsible for participating in the cover-up related to Benghazi be worthy, of all things, the “Liberty Medal.”
When our ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens was calling for help, where were Hillary and the president? They claimed they had no knowledge that it was terrorists attacking our consulate and that they received no messages asking for help. They lied and it has been proven they lied. Those responsible should have been brought to justice to pay for the deaths of those four Americans who died in that attack and yet nothing has been done.
Even now there is an on-going investigation to uncover Clinton’s entire role in the cover-up and she has the audacity to even consider accepting such an honor.
According to PAN, the Independence Hall Foundation which is a newly established organization, will hold a “What Difference Does It Make” press conference on the Independence Mall lawn today at 4 p.m. Their purpose is to denounce the selection of former State Secretary, Hillary Clinton as the recipient of the 2013 “Liberty Medal.”
They are also planning to name an alternative and award its own “Defender of Liberty Medal” to a recipient “who has made grave sacrifices to uphold and defend the United States Constitution and the ideals of liberty it represents,” according to a press release.
At 5 p.m. there will be a prayer vigil for the Benghazi victims which will follow the 4p.m. press conference.
The question here still remains: What exactly has Clinton done to deserve the honor of receiving the “Liberty Medal?” What has she done to help secure America’s liberty? What shining moment in her career as a politician earned her any right to such an honor? Does hiding the fact that there were “stand down” orders given when Ambassador Stevens called for help?
What makes Jeb Bush the ideal person to pick someone for this medal? Honestly, he couldn’t think of a more deserving person pick to receive this medal? Of course, RINOs aren’t know for making good choices so it’s not really surprising that Jeb Bush picked the likes of Hillary Clinton.
Both Bush and Clinton are being looked at as up-coming candidates for the 2016 run for president. Let’s hope not and if they are, we must see that there are strong GOP candidates running against them and build a strong backing, as well.
The press conference should be under way at this time. It will be interesting to see who the recipient of the “Defender of Liberty Medal” will be. Hillary, you don’t deserve anything of honor because of your part in the cover-up in the Benghazi attack and your lack of compassion for the families of the four Americans who were killed.
