Halloween can be a particularly tough time for cats as some sick people use that occasion as an excuse to harm them. It’s always a good idea to keep your cats inside for several days prior to Halloween to help keep them safe.
To keep your cat from howling at you due to his unexpected confinement, why not provide him a special treat? This recipe for Fish n’ Nips may make him forget all about the great outdoors and the person who placed him in captivity.
¼ cup water (drained from tuna)
1 Tablespoon parsley
½ cup whole wheat flour
1 6 ounce can of tuna
¼ cup cornmeal
- Combine tuna, parsley and water. Add cornmeal and flour. Form dough, knead and roll 1 ¼” thick. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
- Preheat oven to 350ᵒF. Bake for 20 minutes on greased cookie sheet.
